Custom shirts

We are able to make a single shirt using HTV vinyl (just like a custom jersey with Name and number on the back) using vector art files with broad lines and no fine curves or points. Colors in stock are standard Siser Easyweed and some of the specialty HTV patterns.

Screen Printing Basics

Fine Detail

We do not recommend fine detail for screen print. Line weight should be a minimum of 1pt and in general, all text should be made more bold. Detail that is smaller than this may break up or not output correctly.

Print-Ready Files

Artwork for screen print must be set up and supplied in registration black (100 / 100 / 100 / 100). Your artwork also needs to be solid, meaning you cannot submit a photographic image or an illustration with gradients. See image below for reference.

Using Halftones in Screen Printing

A gradient effect can be created by breaking up the design into a series of dots. If you do not know how to set up your artwork with halftone dots, our Prepress team can help with this setup at additional cost.

Ink Colors

We carry stock ink colors for screen printing, along with some metallics and foils. If we have to match a color, please provide the Pantone Matching System (PMS) color for us to custom mix the closest we can. Custom PMS matches and specialty inks are a higher cost, and take longer to print. The best result for screenprinting is light shirts with darker ink. If a dark shirt is preferred, we will likely need to add an underbase to keep the color vibrant--this counts as an additional color. **please note that if you want a vintage or ditressed look, we suggest NO underbase.
